Yellowstuff is the first in a new range of 'Hybrid' materials that are R90 approved in the UK, making them a high-friction upgrade pad suitable for all fast street use. They can also be used on the track with proper bedding (see bed-in procedures).
As the flagship pad by EBC for over a decade, Yellowstuff delivers instant brake response, excellent feel and modulation, and smooth, noise-free braking. Improved in 2021 to be copper-free, these pads conform to all new environmental regulations. They are fully shimmed, chamfered, and slotted.
Yellowstuff pads come with a Brake-In surface coating to accelerate bedding after installation.

With a stable friction coefficient of 0.48μ up to race temperatures of 450℃, Yellowstuff is popular among kit car drivers and lighter race cars, having clinched the MX5 race series. Although heat scorched, the compound requires careful bedding in before race use (see guidance here).
Recommendation:
- For track use, pre-bed the pads on the street before heading to the track. For faster track bedding, consider our new Bluestuff R90 approved compound, which beds in faster.
