The stock plastic charge pipes in the B58 engine are known to be prone to splitting or cracking under increased boost pressure. It's not a matter of if, but when you'll encounter a boost leak.
By installing the MMR lightweight aluminum charge pipes, you can trust in their durability even with substantial power gains. These pipes feature smooth, mandrel-bent construction that has been CFD-optimized for significantly improved airflow compared to the original equipment (OE). Unlike the stock pipes, the rigid aluminum design prevents deformation under load or vacuum, ensuring consistent performance. This focus on smooth airflow not only boosts reliability but also enhances throttle response and power output.
The MMR charge pipes are finished in a durable crinkle black coating, with laser-etched MMR logo details, offering a perfect blend of style and function. They are a direct replacement for the OE pipes, making installation straightforward.
The kit includes everything needed for installation: two high-flow aluminum charge pipes with CNC-machined leak-free connections, a silicone coupler hose, an O-ring gasket, a C-clip, and the necessary jubilee clips.
Additionally, the hard pipes feature a convenient 1/8” bung for easy integration of methanol or water injection.
